To balance supply and demand for our products as optimally as possible, Vliegasunie in the Netherlands has at its disposal more than 50,000 tons of storage capacity for fly ash, 70,000 tonnes for bottom ash and for more than 15,000 tonnes of FGD gypsum.

SMZ

Our main distribution station for fly ash is our own silo, mixing and sieving installation (SMZ) at the Maasvlakte. The installation comprises among others things, four impressive large concrete storage silos, each with a capacity of 8,000 tonnes, and is accessible by truck as well as by ship. Besides this there is also storage capacity available at all the power stations and we have a number of fixed storage points in the Netherlands.
